2010 National Scout Jamboree
The 2010 National Scout Jamboree is getting closer every day and the excitement is building! Quivira Council plans to take a contingent of 2 Troops consisting of 36 youth and 4 adult leaders in each Troop to the 2010 National Scout Jamboree which will be held at Fort AP Hill in Caroline County, Virginia.
The 2010 Jamboree will mark the 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouts of America and will be the experience of a lifetime for both adult and youth participants. In addiiton to attending the Jamboree, the contingent will spend 3 days prior to Jamboree in Washington, D.C. touring our nation's capital.

Jim Pogue, Scoutmaster of Troop 736 in Wichita and Cliff Premer, Scoutmaster of Troop 776 in Goddard , have been selected as Scoutmasters of the two Quivira Council contingent troops. Congratulations to both!
Council Contingent Troops are full! A waiting list has been started as we know that situations will change and slots will open up. To get your name on the waiting list, sign up right now at www.bsajamboree.org. The waiting list is determined by the date stamp from on-line registration.
Payment Schedule
The cost to attend the Jamboree is estimated at $2,000. Following is the payment schedule:
Initial deposit with Quivira Council for National Jamboree $100.00
Electronic registration fee with BSA $ 10.00
All Jamboree participants are required to register at www.bsajamboree.org. If you have not done so, please register immediately. Contact the Program Department at 316-491-2223 if you experience difficulties or have questions.
