Good Scout Luncheon 2012
Please join us as we recognize Charles F. "Chuck" Grier with the
Good Scout Award for 2012.
All past Friends of Scouting supporters, and the public, are invited to join us as we kick off our 2012 Friends of Scouting Campaign. We will recognize Chuck Grier for his life-long commitment to youth. A request for a financial pledge will be made.

About Chuck Grier
Chuck Grier is a native Wichitan who serves as President and CEO of UCI, a general heavy contractor. UCI has 125 employees, operating primarily in Kansas and Oklahoma. Chuck has been a member of the Quivira Council Executive Board since 1990 and has served as the President of the Quivira Council. Chuck and his wife, Susie, have four married sons, 3 grandchildren, and 1 grandchild on the way.
Chuck and Susie are active in the St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish, as well as the St. Isidore’s Parish in Manhattan, Kansas. His other community involvement includes Rotary Club of Wichita, Lifetime Director of AGC (Associated General Contractors) of America, Past President of AGC Chapters in Kansas and Oklahoma, Advisory Council for the Department of Instruction and Science at Kansas State University, and he is a Member of the Kansas State University Foundation.
Chuck is an Eagle Scout and was a member of Troop # 410 that was chartered by the Fairview Christian Church in Wichita. Chuck is also a Silver Beaver Award recipient, the highest honor that a local scout council can bestow upon a dedicated volunteer.

Friends of Scouting is an annual fundraising effort to support the operations of the Boy Scouts of America, Quivira Council. Funds raised are used to support Scouting at the grass-roots level, through the Council service center, two camp facilities, accident and liability insurance, campership support to help scouts attend summer camp, and outreach programs.
