Welcome to the White Buffalo District Activities webpage. The White Buffalo District Activities Team is striving to provide your youth the very Best activities scouting has to offer. Just click on an Activity above to get the most current information about that event. All of the White Buffalo District Activities, excluding the District Pinewood Derby, are open to Scouts from any District or any Council.
These events are run by Volunteer Scouters and they always welcome help. If you are interested in helping with or even learning to run an activity, please contact the District Activities Chair

Becoming a District Volunteer is a very rewarding opportunity and support is always available to our volunteers from our professional staff as well as from our "seasoned" volunteers.

White Buffalo Cub Scout Day Camp - Blazing Trails through Time
What is it: White Buffalo Day Camp is a fun-filled 3-day multi-venue camp for Cub Scouts of all ages. Each day will provide the opportunity for your Scouts to have a new experience that will last a lifetime.
Activities: Activities planned include: Experience the Wild West, dig for fossils, learn about geodes, a scavenger hunt through museum of World Treasures, do crafts, go swimming, participate in shooting sports (archery and BB gun), a campfire, and FUN FUN FUN.
When & Where: Thursday – Saturday, June 7-9 or June 14-16. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. the first day of camp. Day camp activities will include activities at Prairie Rose Chuck Wagon, Museum of World Treasures, and Camp Hyde.
Cost: Early Bird Fee is $50 per Scout (includes patch, cup, and camp shirt), $25 per Adult (includes patch and cup; camp shirt must be purchased separately).
Registration: Pre-registration is required in order for us to provide patches and cups to all youth participants. Event is open to all Quivira Council Packs. Please return the form below, and all fees, to the Council Service Center by Friday, May 17, 2012. All registrations received after May 17 will register at the regular rate of $55/ youth and $30 /adults. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER May 24, 2012.

Day Camp Registration Form 2012 : Day Camp On-Line Registration
This is a one day event specifically designed for Tiger Cub Scouts and their Adult Partners. It will consist of round-robin activities that Tiger Cub Scouts and their Adult Partners complete together.
Activities: Activities will consist of physical games and challenges that are geared towards Tiger Cub Scouts and their Adult Partners enjoying a fun-filled morning with each other. Tiger Adult Partners should come prepared to participate. All activities will be held, rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather.
This weekend camping adventure is for 1st and 2nd year Webelos. It is held annually at Camp Kanza and is staffed by some of the top Boy Scout Troops from several Districts. Webelos will be introduced to several Boy Scouting skills along with just plain old fun activities. They will interact with the Boy Scouts to help prepare them for their own cross-over.

2013 Flier
The 20th annual Eskimo Run is a fun activity for all Quivira Council Cub Scouts sponsored by White Buffalo District. This one day Winter Olympics provides a chance to be active in the outdoors during the winter, competing at several activities and games. Scouts from each pack should form dens of 4 or 5 boys to participate (different ages / ranks can join in one den for the day).
Activities planned include: Sled Race, Ski Race, Snow Shoe Race, Snowball Throw, Penguin Bowling, Snow Snakes, and many more! Each den needs to bring their own sled for race (ones with runners are the best). Be sure to dress for the weather: wear a hat, dress in layers, and wear proper footwear (no sneakers if snow or rain). Each person needs to bring a cup, a sack lunch or money for the Klondike Kafe – hot dogs, hot chocolate, etc.

PAST EVENTS
What is it: This is a one day event for Bear Cub Scouts to help prepare them for transition into the Webelos
program. It will consist of a multitude of round-robin activities focused on developing team building
and communication skills. Whittl’n Chip classes will also be provided.
Activities: Activities will consist of physical games and challenges that are geared towards teaching Bear Cub
Scouts to work together as a group and understand how communication skills affect their abilities to
perform and/or accomplish given tasks. All activities will be held rain or shine so come prepared for
the weather. Lunch is not provided by the event so dens should come prepared with sack lunches.

What is it: The annual District Pinewood Derby is for the top racers of each pack in the White Buffalo District. The first place racer of each rank (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos 1, Webelos 2) from each pack is eligible to race against others of his rank for the honor of representing the White Buffalo District in the Quivira Council Pinewood Derby Race.
