Local - Quivira Council

Every summer Quivira Council has opportuntities for a variety of positions at Quivira Scout Ranch and Camp Kanza.  Complete the Camp Staff Application, or Counselor in Training Application found below and return to the Council Program Department. Camp Staff Application
Camp staff is a rewarding experience that is truly unforgettable. It is the ultimate job, but much more than any kind of job. Every day is fully rewarding to you as staff and to the campers whose lives you have made a difference. Camp work is demanding, but the opportunities, rewards, and experiences available to you on camp staff are endless. Camp staff is the best way to spend your summer!

Counselor in Training (CIT) Application
If you are 14 years of age and have a positive attitude with demonstrated leadership and instructional abilities, the Counselor in Training program will provide the training you need to serve on Camp Staff in future years.


Camp Chaplain
In keeping with the 12th point of the Scout Law; a Scout is Reverent, chapel services are offered during summer camp at both Camp Kanza and Quivira Scout Ranch. Chaplains at Camp Kanza provide a short worship service one evening each session. Chaplains at Quivira Scout Ranch are residents for the week and provide grace prior to meals, offer counseling for homesickness and other needs, and lead chapel service each Tuesday evening. If you are interested in serving as a Camp Chaplain, complete the staff application listed above and return it to the Program Department.

Camp Staff Alumni Coming Soon!
Join the Camp Staff Alumni Association and help provide support to the camp in the form of volunteer service, fundraising, and staff mentorship. Maintain staff relationships and reconnect with old friends at fellowship events. Hear from current staff members and those of yore about their experiences and favorite memories of summer camp.
